You are Gerard Path, Senior Signaling Specialist at Pyre Lookout Unit (used to be Division, but, you know, budget cuts). After years of boredom, you've finally noticed a fire. Do you have the right form to report the fire?
This morbidly bureaucratic short story was made for Ludum Dare 59, theme "Signal". It was made entirely in 3 days by a team of 2. It's heavily inspired by Disco Elysium (the conversation went: "hey, what's the next thing we can attempt to make in three days?", "Disco sounds reasonable!"), although Disco Elysium took much more time and talent, so please don't compare us.

I loved this! I’ve yet to play Disco Elysium, but with the comparison, now I want to. This was HILARIOUSLY written, and even though I’ve never worked in an office, I absolutely felt it in my bones.
I also thought it was hysterical that I failed almost every single attempt at a challenge somehow 😅

I was SO SCARED. You somehow got me emotionally invested in these fake coworkers that ive known for like 10 minutes. Is there multiple endings? I got the one where everyone escapes
Yes, although my mistake (or just time limit on the jam) made me tie a lot of potential outcomes to the dice rolls, so there's some RNG involved!
SPOILERS BELOW:
The four-helicopter ending happens only if Scott is motivated to do it. To avoid it, try not to compliment him and not bring him his mug.
There are two main endings with many potential folks living or dying: the helicopter ending and the jumping-from-the-window ending. You jump from the window if you fail to obtain any form for the last phone call, or if you obtain Phylis' outdated form and fail to convince them it's the "right" one. Both are tied to dice rolls on the way. In helicopter ending there are two ways (through motivated Scott or motivated Phylis) to save everyone, else it's up to your dice rolls, and you pick in the end who will survive. In window ending, only the motivated team members survive. :)
i was super immersed and captivated. the art style is beautiful, and the sound/music ambiance was so amazing

There are two "main" endings with various outcomes regarding who dies and who lives: the helicopter ending and the jumping out of the window ending. One person always survives, the rest depends on the circumstances (some choices, but also RNG - I tied some outcomes to dice rolls due to the lack of time :) ).
